The people who just moved here, on the morning they need you
Montevideo Insider is read by English speakers living in Uruguay — and by the ones deciding whether to come. They arrive with a list: residency, a bank account, a tax adviser, a school, somewhere to live, a plumber who answers the phone. We are the page they check while they work through it.
Our numbers, honestly
We are new, and we are not going to invent an audience
Montevideo Insider began publishing in August 2026. We do not yet have a month of traffic worth quoting, so this page does not quote one — no rounded-up readership, no invented open rate. Ask us and we will send you exactly what our analytics say on the day you ask.
When the figures are worth publishing they will live here, updated monthly, whether they flatter us or not. What we can show you today is the market underneath them.
The market you’d be reaching
Our own traffic is still young — but the audience it speaks to is measurable, and almost no one is selling to it in English.

Intent, not impressions
Somebody reading a page about IRPF deadlines two days before the filing date is not browsing. The audience is small by design and in the middle of a decision, which is worth more than a much larger audience that is not.
Hard to reach any other way
English-speaking residents of Uruguay do not cluster anywhere obvious. They are scattered across Facebook groups and word of mouth, and they are almost invisible to Spanish-language media buying.
A daily habit, not a visit
The weather, the dollar and what is open bring people back every morning. That is a different relationship from a search result, and it is why a monthly placement here outperforms its raw impression count.
How advertising works here
We run one advertisement per page. Not one per screen, not one between every section — one. It is worth more that way, and the pages stay readable.
One unit, one advertiser, one page
The placement is a standard 300 × 250 in the right rail, so creative that runs elsewhere runs here unchanged. It appears the same way on a phone, at no extra cost. Nothing competes with it on the page.
Rates are a conversation
We are too new for a rate card to mean anything, and we would rather not pretend otherwise. Tell us what you are selling and we will come back with a proposal and a price. Sponsoring a whole section, or the whole site, is worth asking about.
Get in touch
Tell us what you sell and who you need to reach
We answer every enquiry within two working days, and we will tell you plainly if we think this is the wrong audience for you.

Useful things to put in the first email
What you sell and who you are trying to reach; whether you want the page unit, the section sponsorship, or advice on which; and roughly what you are looking to spend a month. None of it is required — send a sentence and we will take it from there.
We will come back with a proposal and a price rather than a rate card, because at this size the right answer depends on what you are selling.
What we will not do, whatever the budget
Write advertising that reads as reporting. Every paid placement is labeled, in the same words, every time.
Let a sponsor see, shape or veto an edition before it goes out. Nobody gets a preview.
Take a placement from anyone selling residency, citizenship or tax outcomes that cannot be delivered. We check.
This is not decoration. The reason the audience trusts the edition is the reason your placement beside it is worth buying.
Not an advertising question?
Editorial enquiries, tips and corrections are handled separately — see the About page.
The unit is the standard IAB medium rectangle, so creative that runs elsewhere will run here unchanged. The market figures above are sourced and dated; our own traffic figures are not published until they are worth publishing.
